The Marymount Congregational Home is the adaptive reuse of the convent of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Third Order of St. Francis.
This project reflects the creative and thoughtful spirit of the Sisters as they reinvented the use of their convent from dormitories to individual apartments serving the current needs of older Sisters. Ultimately, these apartments will be available for rent to members of the wider community.
This project also features a sustainable HVAC system (variable refrigerant). The Sisters early on made this a requirement of the project as they sought ways to promote a legacy of right action. Not only did they preserve the legacy of what came before; they also provided leadership and vision to ensure a future environment where people and community can thrive.
